Prom Music Tips
Is everyone at your high school sick of the same old prom? You know, the typical "A Night to Remember" theme that your parents used, their parents used, and has been used since the Stone Age? How about something new, something different, a UNIQUE prom idea that will be sure to please even the toughest prom critic? Just think of magic, romance, and enchantment, and what certain event comes to mind? The Crescent City's specialty--Mardi Gras! You could incorporate all of the wonder that Carnival has to offer into your own perfect night. A Mardi Gras prom would be easy to put on and would be a lot of fun! Just see below for the simple steps that lead the way for a magical, special night that will be on the minds of promgoers for years to come.This is a hard one to figure out! The main decision here is a band (live music), or a DJ. It is a good idea for this committee to take surveys of what the students want so that one type of music is not the only kind played. The committee must also find the best price for the band or DJ--whichever is picked. You will want to play Mardi Gras Music if your theme is Mardi Gras, so why not get it right now? Order Volume I or Volume II for some definite mood music!
Your decision will have a great impact on the outcome of your party. You know that music is a key ingredient in setting the mood for the affair.
Sound System with a Light Show
These systems can vary quite a bit and have to be seen and heard to appreciate their total impact.The Sound System with a Light Show is usually a bit more expensive than a regular sound system.
Standard Sound System
The Standard Sound System is the least expensive route to go. When selecting a sound system provider, you want to be able to meet with the DJ who will be hosting your event. Make sure that they have all of the music that you want to hear and make sure that the DJ can work with your crowd. The sound system representative will provide you with dates and places, this is a normal practice. They also use a standard contract that will spell out all of the details of time and money.
Live band
The live band tends to be on the expensive side and, though many bands do very long sets, they do have to take some breaks through out the evening. If you are interested in a live band, contact a local booking agent who will have tapes of the band and visit the band at one of the places that they are to perform and listen to their show.
